Scialmarino beach is 5 km from the city center on the north coast. On the road you’ll find the shrine of the Holy Mary of Merino, the patron saint of the city, who is commemorated every year on May 9th.
This side of the coast is characterized by golden sand, a gently sloping seabed and the view of one of the various trabucchi.
Being the windiest beach of the city, kitesurfing lovers or beginners have the possibility to take part of several classes offered by one of Vieste’s most specialized kitesurfing centers.
