Marina Piccola is a small beach located in the center of Vieste, with a special view on Saint Eufemia Isle, where Vieste’s lighthouse is situated. Looking on the right you will be able to admire “Punta san Francesco”, an old town corner, one of the most loved glimpses around. On the left, instead you will see a rocky coast glimpse perfect to dive or sunbathe, even when the wind blows very strongly.
Marina Piccola is entirely free, without beach clubs. At low tide, you can walk to the lighthouse to enjoy a totally different view of Vieste.
The charming and legendary beach guards the wreck of an old streamer stranded in Vieste in early 900’s. Today, it remains eroded by the passing time as part of the panorama. Here, walking is a pleasure during all seasons. In summertime, several events are held, such as concerts, celebrations, book launches etc.
People are excited about taking photos there so that they can relive their visit upon returning home.
